The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) has begun accepting online applications for the position of Lady Constables in West Bengal Police – 2024.

For the recruitment of Lady Constables in the West Bengal Police, the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board (WBPRB) has begun collecting online applications. Until May 22, interested and qualified applicants may submit an application on the official website, wbpolice.gov.in.
The WBP recruiting effort intends to fill 1420 Lady Constable positions overall. The pay matrix’s Level-6 pay scale ranges from 22,700 to 58,500 rupees.
Eligibility Criteria
Age restriction: 18 to 30 as of January 2024. Only by five years for West Bengal SC/ST candidates and only by three years for West Bengal OBC applicants will the maximum age restriction be eased.
The applicant must have passed the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education’s Madhyamik (Class 10) Examination or an equivalent
Language: The candidate must be able to read, write, and speak Bengali; however, this need does not apply to those who are long-term inhabitants of the districts of Darjeeling and Kalimpong’s hill regions.
Selection process
The WBPRB will perform a physical measurement test (PMT), physical efficiency test (PET), final written examination, and interview before filling the positions of Lady Constables based on candidates who pass the preliminary written test, which serves as a screening exam.
Application Fee
All applicants must pay the Rs 170 fee, with the exception of SC/ST (limited to West Bengal). Candidates in the SC/ST category must pay a processing charge of Rs 20 in addition to their application fee.
